[In the tradition of Aather games, the setting is a stone room with no windows... or doors. There is a simple table with two chairs set with some basic food - meats, cheeses, fruit, etc. There is also a piece of paper on the table with instructions, but it just reads Take this chance how you will.

There is nothing else in the room except for its two inhabitants, who both appear in it suddenly.]

Don't 'Bunny' me. Just do something about it!

Dammit, you should be furious about this and I shouldn't be the one to have to explain to you why.

...Look, it's not like I like it either, okay? But everyone else here's in the same boat. Yelling about it's not going to help anything.

[verypointed]

And doing nothing about it isn't going to do anything either!

[He suddenly gets up from the seat and marches to the wall, activating his power and winding up to kick the wall]

Bunny! Hey—!

[Jumps a bit and moves for him... Not in time to stop him from kicking the wall though. Barnaby may notice the strength of his power is substantially less than usual, and when he connects the wall doesn't appear to be affected in any way.]

[verypointed]

[Pauses at that, and his brow furrows even deeper.

But hey, there's still four minutes and fifty seconds of his powers and he is not above kicking the wall for five minutes straight to get through it, it that's what it'll take.

... unless he's restrained.]

[Tries to grab his shoulders, although he doesn't have his power active so unless Barnaby lets him do it might not be terribly effective.]

Calm down, please! You're only going to hurt yourself like that... We'll figure out something to do together, okay?

[verypointed]

[He gives the wall a few more good kicks before he stops, stares at it and just... physically deflating. He shrugs off Kotetsu's grip and refuses to look at him.]



... Fine.

[Sighs, and scratches his head, a bit at a loss.]

We'll get out when whatever is supposed to happen here is done. It probably won't be too long.

...I can't believe you're here.

[verypointed]

I can't believe I'm here either.

And that you're here.

Well, I guess seeing is believing, right? Haha... ha...

What exactly, is your plan?

And how much do you remember?

...Uh, I dunno. Usually they give us at least slightly more specific directions. [glances at the paper on the table] But then, if I had a plan already, we wouldn't be deciding what to do together, right?

[ignoring the second question for now, though as Barnaby's power stretches past the minute mark he looks a little :/a]

[He still looks less than happy about the entire situation, but he holds his hand out for the piece of paper]

One can only formulate a plan if we know all the details.

[Hands over the paper, but it still just says Take this chance as you will.]

Maybe more instructions will show up in a bit, that happens sometimes.

Or maybe you should do what the paper says and take this chance to learn as much as you can.

[Still making pained sulky faces at you]

[avoids his eyes and takes a second to respond]

...My memories come in weird pieces and all out of order. I remember a bunch of stuff with Lunatic... and in the last thing I remember, I think, Ouroboros was holding the city hostage. You were really mad at me for some reason, and Jake beat Sky High and Rock Bison.

That was because you were being an ass and didn't trust me.
