[In the tradition of Aather games, the setting is a stone room with no windows... or doors. There is a simple table with two chairs set with some basic food - meats, cheeses, fruit, etc. There is also a piece of paper on the table with instructions, but it just reads Take this chance how you will.

There is nothing else in the room except for its two inhabitants, who both appear in it suddenly.]

...Supposedly everyone who's here is special, some sort of beacon for the darkness. Right now it's trapped here where we can fight it, but if we weren't pulled here first it could use us to get into other worlds... or something like that.

I've lost my memories, not my instincts! She gave us the most explanation anyone has gotten since they got here! Beauty's the one who actually pulled us here, and she's always really vague... though she's trying her best, too.
