Erika is actually feeling a lot better about Swift at the moment, since she doesn't actually... care if he likes her that much... as long as he will play with her. |D He was cute when he was just oblivious to her being terrible, but he is also cute being convinced she is terrible. As long as that doesn't actually interfere with what she wants to do, anyway. So she didn't really mind arguing with him in Mother's game because he went with what she wanted eventually, and she had a lot of fun poking him about the personae in the teampost, because of course if he wants information he can't just sulk and ignore her, she's the detective! So yes, she still likes him better than most of the team. He is reasonably clever and fun to mess with. So she may try messing with him more. :|b

YOU STILL SUCK, I'M JUST PUTTING THAT OUT THERE.

No, Swift is beginning to come to terms with the fact that she doesn't care about the team or not fucking the rest of them over, and is recalibrating his image of her and the team in light of that. (This week was hard on his conception of team in general.) Since he's gone from overly positive on her to ABRUPTLY NEGATIVE to . . . something more settled, in that he (grudgingly) admits she is competent and perceptive and clever, just also petty and childish and occasionally short-sighted, and, ultimately, dangerous to his priorities in Aather. He will probably be more composed and less sulky when they talk next! Even if part of him wants to mentally graffiti all her pictures, he is calming down and trying to see her as another piece in the game, just a factor to be worked around.

AND THEN SHE WENT AND FIRED UP HIS COMPETITIVE SIDE, ha ha :'D. Swift likes games and contests, canonically, and he is good at them, and he . . . does not like to lose! It's not as intense in Aather (although I did go in and prioritize a couple of relevant memories after that thread), but it is still there, and Erika especially is someone he cannot stand the idea of being bested by. And, as hard as he was bluffing in that thread, he is very aware she has the advantage on him, that he has been slacking off and not information-gathering as hard as he could. So he is going to step it up from now on! And he will not be satisfied until he has definitively beaten her, because Erika you totally suck!!!!!

What is Kotetsu's favorite team so far and why?

Either Coral or Ruby or Emerald... which are the teams knows the most people on. He is an honorary Coral because of his name and they all seem very nice!! Kit shot him with a water pistol, but he gave him a towel, and Dragonfly criticized his beard but he also taught him how to keep it up. He knows a little less of Ruby and they were a little more standoffish, but he likes Tavros a lot and he had pretty good conversations with most of the rest of them too, and they were a lot more welcoming after they warmed up a little. And then Emerald I talked about to Itachi below. Plus they are green and like drinking and that seems like his style.

What are Jay's impressions of the knights in general?

Kotetsu's thoughts on Itachi? Since...I figure Itachi and Raven probably haven't changed much lately...

Kotetsu is fond of Itachi! When he was talking to Aeris about Sasuke, she was like "he's pretty serious, but his brother is too" and Kotetsu was like ":|a Really? Stealth seemed pretty friendly to me." WHICH IS TRUE. Obviously Itachi is kind of quiet and subdued and he isn't like... silly, but he seemed nice and open enough when they've talked! AND HE IS PRETTY FOND OF EMERALD IN GENERAL.

He will remember Origami Cyclone now, though, so he may have some interesting questions about ninjas, and Itachi may need to be the one to field them. Advance notice. |D

He has a fairly positive first impression of Kotetsu. He was helpful in the sandcastle game and he wouldn't mind working with him again. He liked talking to him okay too. He didn't really think of himself as being especially friendly to him (though he wasn't trying to be unfriendly either), but Kotetsu didn't seem to mind that he was quiet, so it worked out okay . |D He'd probably appreciate that Kotetsu has tried to reach out to Sasuke too.

What made Kotetsu fond of Emerald? :T

TECHNICALLY Kotetsu is also fond of Coral and Ruby and Iolite, because those are the teams he has met the most people on and he is fond of pretty much everyone he's met and talked to for any length of time, because he's like that. And he has met all of Emerald. But he also enjoyed himself a lot in the sandcastle game! And he liked Knife too. She told him to keep trying to befriend Emerald because they're introverts, and he was like '-' okay, mission accepted.

How did Itachi's talk with Emerald about their game strategy go over?

It went okay overall. Itachi more or less sees it as a success because he could foresee it going a lot worse. And most everyone was understanding about it. The major exception was Asuka freaking out but he was kind of expecting that, and he has experience fielding angry teenagers at this point so he didn't let her arguments discourage him from his decision to not take part in that strategy if he can help it. If anything it cemented his resolve even more because he got the distinct impression that she has agreed to the suicide strategy at least partly because she feels like it's a necessary part of being part of the team. And the idea that she's agreed to kill herself multiple times out of a twisted sense of team identity and probably what amounts to inadvertent peer pressure is a little disturbing. So he's worried about her because of that more than upset with her for arguing and not really understanding the points he tried to make.

Do you have any plans for Raven at the moment?

RAVEN NEEDS MORE PLANS. In the far-term future I have plans for some sort of persona thing with his heart and also moving him to a legacy slot eventually! In the medium-term future he needs a quest for a transforming bow at some point, which will hopefully at least give him an interesting project for a while, although he needs the skill for it first still. In the near-term future I am kind of excited for the negative CR game. Other than that I can't think of anything though, so if he runs out of stuff going on in the next few weeks and doesn't get his skill I may need to work to come up some other activities.

Does Erika have an impression on Yuri?

She thinks he's an idiot and a pushover :'D which is not greatly different from her impressions of most people. But in particular she was pretty unimpressed at the way he tried to leave the ring during Mother's game and got whipped for it, and at his opinions on Mother in general and games in general. And she was entertained that she managed to just keep rejecting the quests he gave her until he picked something she'd want to do anyway. WHICH IS PRETTY USEFUL. And him being kind of dumb is also potentially useful. So she'll probably keep talking to him and stuff. But yes.

HE THINKS ERIKA IS TROUBLE and also more than a little abrasive. But... so far he is just kind of amused by her. She's brassy; he doesn't mind that and he doesn't mind giving her things to amuse herself with if it will, hopefully, keep her out of trouble.

How you doing, Raven?

Raven is doing extremely well actually! With Judith's good end she told him that everything worked out okay at home, so any worries he had there are assuaged. Tiger's Eye is currently doing pretty well, and he has actually settled into a role as their leader, as much as Tiger's Eye needs a leader (in the way that he still wouldn't ever call himself that, but he won't argue too hard if other people do). Self-image/identity-wise, he still doesn't have a whole lot of self-confidence in himself or who he is, but his... issues with that are a lot less pronounced than they usually are. He is happy enough with who he is right now and what he's doing that he's not going to worry too much about who he "really" is or should be! And relationship-wise he is extremely happy with Beatrice. :3 We are playing out Raven and Beatrice's 24-hour vacation in Firebird's realm out of time right now, and he will likely be even happier whenever that slots back into the actual timeline, possibly to the point of ridiculousness. Assuming nothing extremely disastrous happens in the rest of it, I guess.

Really his main down points are Yuri issues (he's fine when he doesn't think about it, but every time Yuri comes up he has a moment), more general knight issues (as in his argument with Kakashi the other day), and of course jealousy issues re: Lelouch. :'D

Her first game is probably still her favorite! Because it was a MURDER MYSTERY and she won it all on her own because none of the rest of Jasper was there yet! And it was a flawless victory because she made the culprit confess!! (By intimidating Tavros a lot...)

Saya's favorite?

Saya really loved the sandcastle game, since she and Eve worked together to make an AWESOME!! sandcastle (and Percy helped, which was why he's been the only Citrine forgiven so far). It definitely helped that Jasper won that one so she's been feeling pretty confident about creative games. Though the stuffed animal Pokemon would have been her favorite if they didn't lose three games in a row. She really bonded with Wiggles so all those losses were disappointing. 8(

There's some Umineko characters in queue! Which are you most excited for?

THEY WILL BOTH BE VERY EXCITING FOR ERIKA, but Battler will be exciting in ways I cannot really express. For both Raven and Erika. Raven and Beatrice are just kind of getting to a settled point in their relationship, and into that you will throw Battler, who is Beatrice's love and half her reason for existing. And he is also Erika's opponent in all her games, and he beats her at reasoning sometimes. He even CORRECTS HER KNOWLEDGE OF THE MYSTERY GENRE!! UNFORGIVABLE!! ...But Battler and Erika are also cute sometimes...?

Add to that the fact that I think Battler will be starting with the memory of Erika murdering a lot of his family and trapping him in a closed room logic error (and thus trapping his mind in the torture of trying to escape from the logical trap he's made for himself, forever), leaving the hope of figuring out a way out of it to Beatrice. It will be. Extremely exciting.

They are cute kids. '-' He doesn't have a super strong impression yet! He likes them in general, and he likes Roxas in particular because of their first thread where he had obvious dere for his team and it was cute. Madoka was also cute and he wants to try to meet her friends now too.

Kotetsu made a positive impression on both - kind and trustworthy, and easy to get along with. Roxas was especially impressed by the fact that he was going out of his way to meet the teams. Yay extroverts! He appreciates them, since he's not one, himself.

What memory are you most looking forward to him getting back?

That is a good question! I didn't think I'd be particularly focused on memories for Kotetsu (which is good, because as a knight played by me he will be getting them back very slowly), but it very quickly turned out that not actually having any memories was kind of too much. He just got back the one I was immediately excited for him to get, though! Pretty much all his memories are great and would be fun to get at this point. I guess in particular I'm looking forward to him getting the drama CD memory of trying to pick his hero name in high school, in which his has a lot of terrible ideas and his future wife suggests "Fighting Tiger" and he is like "Tiger? but lions are stronger :U" Because hilarity.

I would like to run a heart game with Madoka, someday. Her canon's visual trippyness is perfect for it! I'd like a re-run with Roxas someday, too, actually, since a lot has changed. It'll also be interesting to see how they both take some of their more wham/traumatic memories they haven't gotten yet.

Is there anything particularly different about Erika as she is in Aather right now, versus Erika in canon?

She is actually a lot... less... malicious and antagonistic... although you wouldn't really know it to look at her. Or really just sort of broadly antagonistic rather than specifically antagonistic. She is unpleasant to a lot of people and makes a few people cry versus ruining someone's life specifically.

She is also more independent! Erika in canon is just a piece in the game, which means almost everything she does is planned and directed to some extent by her master Bernkastel. Though this also has the effect of making her not care a whole lot about acting the way the personae want her to in games and stuff. |D

How is Madoka currently doing with her castmates? (I am canon-familiar but I don't really stalk any of them much. :B)

Madoka loves her canonmates! She and Sayaka settled right back into being best friends, with a lot of trust on both sides. She and Homura have all the feelings! She and Kyouko have hit it off surprisingly well, even if she tends to be trollbait to Kyouko. Such is her life. :p
